SNUS Oct $5 strike call options

Walldiver, what do you think of these calls for Sonus that are priced around $1.10 right now and will timed right for release of SNUS's P3 trial in late Sept. If good news, stock could move up 50-100%, thereby yielding marginal gain - $2 bucks above cost. Is this a better bet than buying the stock at $4 bucks right now?
