iHUB doesn't pick the moderators for the boards. At least, they don't pick in any of the cases I've seen. In rare circumstances, they may kick certain users off of boards.
Normally, whoever wants to create a board at iHUB can. You could if you like. I did yesterday, free. Since duplicate boards aren't allowed, whoever creates a board for a specific stock first gets to be moderator.
Therefore, PinkElephant was the first one here (or somehow he took over ownership of the board... not sure how that works). iHUB didn't pick him. On most boards, you will see the moderators participating in the discussion. In many cases, they do have their own agendas. In others, they don't.
I think PinkElephant's done a pretty good job in comparison to quite a few of the moderators I've found. If you post ANYTHING negative on the IMJX board, it almost ALWAYS gets deleted. The other day they deleted over 25% of the posts (and removed my post announcing that fact)! At least here, we can hear both sides of the situation (although we may often hear one side more than the other).
Note: There are iHUB specific administrator boards (e.g. iHUB Question and Answers) that are moderated by iHUB employees. Those are, of course, an exception.
Understand the present. Create your future.
