Janice: One weekend his sister (or sister in law) came to visit.. she is a hypochondriac. Her daughter was playing with his daughters hamster, and the hamster accidently bit her. Derf doesn't do well in medical emergencies and his sister kept carrying on that it was a "terrible bite..how could this happen..etc." The kid was screaming to the top of her lungs.. Derf (being the kind soul he is) applied "No More Ouchies", a numbing antiseptic to the wound. The girl, in her hysteria, put her hands in her mouth and her tongue went numb.. causing even further chaos and shrieks of "She is going into shock" "She can't speak"... "she is slurring her words"......... "The hamster is rabid" and a trip to the emergency room.
I don't do the story justice.. but you get the idea.
