2:21PM Internet Security Earnings Preview (ISSX) 19.13 +1.38: Internet Security Systems reports Q4 results after the close, with consensus standing at $0.14 in EPS and $64.3 mln in sales. Lehman Brothers notes that the co has already positively pre-announced that Q4 revenue should exceed the high end of its guidance of $66 mln. The firm notes the upside reflects increasing momentum for the Proventia series, which they believe is now beginning to win back share with some large enterprise accounts. In addition, firm's channel checks have been positive with respect to Proventia, though they note that distributors still exhibit frustrations with channel conflict issues. For the conference call, Lehman believes investors will focus on the explanation behind the co's write-down in bad debt expense, investments in Asia, and potential 2004 uptake from Proventia M.
