Dear Jack,
Thank you for the opportunity to meet with representatives of Fuel Frontiers, Inc. along with Jefferson County Judge Robert Walker earlier this year. I welcome your company's interest in building and operating a bio-diesel/ultra clean diesel facility in Jefferson County, Texas.
Since this initial meeting, I understand Jefferson County officials have been working closely with Fuel Frontiers, Inc. in identifying a suitable site to be utilized for the bio-diesel/ultra clean diesel facility and in making a tax incentive program available for this project.
I commend representatives of Fuel Frontiers, Inc. for also meeting with State of Texas officials including the Governor, Lt. Governor, Director of the Texas Emerging Technology Fund, and State Senators and Representatives of Jefferson County. These state officials are likewise supportive of this project and its location in Southeast Texas. In another testament to Fuel Frontiers' mission, Lamar University has agreed to participate in a research and development project as they were very impressed with the company's technology.
As the U.S. Representative for Jefferson County, I support Fuel Frontiers, Inc.'s proposed facility and commend you for your efforts to employ approximately 200 local citizens and utilize local suppliers and contractors to build and operate this facility.
