There's be no point in removing posts, if they're not really removed. Most of the TOU reasons for taking a post out of circulation would be circumvented and negated by making them available for further viewing.
Admins have access to removed posts. It's their site. They set the rules and know their intentions. They know well-enough if a post was improperly removed, and have the power to restore it if need be.

And not all post are removed for TOU violations. Many are removed because the author asked for it to be removed, or for being duplicates, etc. If I request to have a post removed because I decided my post didn't fit, or someone made a similar statement while I was typing mine, so I'm being redundant, or decide my post was stupid... I don't want that read, else why would I ask for it to be removed?

I think iHub comes closer to achieving "orderly" discussions with their current system than any other discussion site I've seen. On other sites I tend to feel like I'm trying to carry on a normal conversation while standing in a room full of unsupervised screaming 5 year olds.
I also believe that the majority of people who complain about removed posts are the ones who simply don't want to stay on topic, and don't want to have any rules. IMO those people should not have agreed to the TOS when signing up if they didn't really want or intend to stick to the agreement. There was always a choice.
