Seems to me they are detailed enough , more than one shot of the backends, and i see no plates at all, and now why would anyone photoshop out plates?

these are just observations, when i brightened the shots up i did indeed see the extra pipe, good eye, it was shadowed right out on the original, but still could not see any plates on either truck, or dot markings on the water truck.

By law, a license plate is expected to be clearly visible from the rear at the very least. From the various photos, this is not apparent.
