Yes.....I agree...demands would be harmful.
We need to begin our relationship with JF with respect, support, cooperation and trust.
We should assume he is worthy of our trust and respect.
Everything we say to him should make him know we trust and respect him.
I believe whole heartedly that JF is on our sides. We need to keep him there.
