there are doctors on all ends of the spectrum when it comes to pay - some who have closed their doors because they cannot make ends meet and others who are doing quite well

my point is simply that the discussion should focus on what is fair compensation, factoring in risk, etc., and not on some holier than thou altruistic calling that must be met at all costs irrespective of financial (i.e. practical) considerations, as insinuated by some of the posts on this board
