But if (if) news comes, it might indicate a dramatic reversal, to the extent where the stockprice might do nothing less than explode. Times 5 at least imo. Thus the consideration is in place, are you willing to buy now in this dark smelly swamp at a SERIOUS discount or will you play it safer and buy at a much more expensive stockprice ?

These are the times where real big money can be made. Or lost. Some appartently are convinced the first option will play out. And they are pretty carefull not to spread that news too obviously. My opinion is it is showing pretty clearly though.
