Hypster is Ok at the moment, with the current user-load; not great, but Ok. Increased users may require further alterations of the indexing system. Slow access is just not tolerated by Internet users, regardless of how sympathetic the investment community might be. Michael mentioned that the problem is the quantity of information contained in the database (including photos). If it were a simple text list, it would sort much faster, …but then it would not be as popular to the MySpace crowd. In the future, some state-of-the-art thinking may be required to keep the original model operative under increased user load and peak conditions.
It can be done if necessary. For now, it works.
