"The Food Stamp Program, which helps 27 million low-income Americans with food assistance each month. (An estimated half of all U.S. citizens have used food stamps at some point in their lifetime."

My wife and her three kids did it many moons ago. A tribute to a father who didn't pay child support.

Gotta love dirtbags who'd rather be unemployed than do the right thing. Colorado didn't demand much back then either. A whole 150 a month was just too much for all three.

When I finally met him, the first thing I said was, "I thought you'd be bigger". Wish you could have seen his face! WTF are you talking about kind of expression.

Colorado had a nice thing going back then. (early 70s) If you qualified for food stamps they also funded your first year of junior college to help you get off the dole. She did the schooling and got onto her feet. Thanks be to Colorado and their program. They also offered child care for the first year she was on her new job.

I'd bet that those programs are long gone because they just weren't useful enough.
