It would appear that way from the filings, but I suspect more of a scam than anything else. First options have a limited timespan from several months to a matter of days (surely if you owned a company you would know the finacial situation far in advance of defaulting on your loans). Second, $2+ million is a lot of options. Third, my broker will not allow me to specify a given holding to cover an option call (maybe others will but I do know of any). But the biggest beef, is waiting on the notification of default until your shares were taken or sold.
