Markets have irrational exhuberance at the top and irrational dispair at the bottom. People that are not in trouble often start selling as they see their home value decline. I think the home prices in Florida still have a lot of air in them. A home that I have been looking at, actually it is two homes on an acre lot is coming down to me. The ask price when I sold my place was 675,000. I laughed and walked away. It is now 475,000 and the owner has fled to Texas. The owner paid 188,000 for the house and still has a double if he can sell. Maybe he will take 250,000 in a couple of years.
