I would agree to a certain extent about buying diverse companies. Profitabilty I do not know in that area and there will always be customer and legal issues in any big company specialized or not.

The key is the people hired on to oversee and report to management. I would be suprised if Paul or Ron had even heard of this persons complaint (assuming that it exists). Micromanaging on this scale would be a near impossible feat.
