I'm using Win98 and I have and have had all the same problems low resources that bb is explaining. From what I hear the newest OS from Microsoft XP's best feature is that it doesn't crash as often as the previous OS's - although Microsoft doesn't push this feature because they don't want to admit or publicize the fact that those systems crashed so often!

I have never used Linux, but I know a few people who do and wouldn't touch Windows after using it.
