Looks like we'll have a named storm (Dean) by Tuesday, and reach Category 3 strength by Friday as it enters the Caribbean. If it holds together a decent amount of strength by the time it reaches the GOM (if it does), it could very well strengthen to Cat 4 or 5. Dean could be a serious problem somewhere along the Gulf Coast.
As investors start to recognize this more and more throughout the week, most of the hurricane plays should see some nice gains. I think an average gain of 20+% on Monday alone could occur, with a double or more by the end of the week.
