I finally caught up on the "satellite imagery" from last week. In Mongtomery County--the drilling equipment has been removed, last Tuesday a Frac Truck and team arrived, did their job and left. Well looks like it's awaiting tubes, piping, electricity (may be the hangup) and pumpjack to connect it to the tank battery before it can start pumping. A proficient Roustabout team should be able to "get 'er done" in 2 or 3 days. Expect initial pumping to be removing frac fluids and water before we start getting a true initial flow to stabilize.
In case you'd like a refresher on what a Frac Truck looks like I included this imagery that was taken during the frac job at the Reno_Hemi_2 wellsite.
Both Leases--Dang hot! 105-110 degrees, mud finally baking, grass is growing like crazy. Four foot grass in some areas makes driving around checking out the leases hazardous....hides large rocks, small trees, and old, forgotten (or lost) man-made obstacles too. Be careful out there, guys!
Oh, and drink lots of ice water, like mm2b says!
Good news to report from Woodson County. A quick pass revealed that the wellsite for Tebbens_Hemi_2 was spudded either Thursday or Friday. From the dribs and drabs of spilled cement, it appears that surface casing is cemented in place, the pit is in place, and the drill rig is ready for action! Monday looks like a good day for drilling. With CLT's "special" completion and frac techniques, I expect a lot of activity around this well for the next week or two.
Enjoy your air conditioning if you've got it, but take a moment to remember the guys in the field working and sweating to make your company successful too. From what I can tell, they are good, hard-working people!
