$140 M on an Ethanol Project for GENIVAR
GENIVAR picks up the contract for an ethanol plant in Saskatchewan from Terra Grain.
The new ethanol facility for Terra Grain Fuels will use wheat as its raw material. This $140-million contract involves GENIVAR’s services and covers the civil, structural, electrical and mechanical engineering of the entire plant. In addition, the firm has been retained for the mechanical design of the dry section of the plant, which will be used for storing and cleaning the wheat, and storing and handling dry materials. The work will continue until the plant goes into operation, projected for early 2008. It will produce about 150 million litres of ethanol a year.
