I have PROVEN to any rational person, that Bush didn't lie. The congressmen/women and senators who voted for the Iraq War resolution were not children, who simply voted as teacher told them. There was not one charge against Saddam that had not been made by the previous administration. Saddam had been in non-compliance of U.N. resolutions for over ten years. Saddam was given ONE FINAL opportunity to comply. Hans Blix, knowing the importance of his words and being opposed to the invasion, nonetheless reported to the U.N. that Saddam was NOT in compliance, indeed, didn't seem to take the resolutions seriously. Blix wanted more time, as the U.N. had been requesting for a decade. Former President Clinton supported the invasion. Clinton's chief Iraq adviser had already published a book concluding that an invasion of Iraq was the best way to resolve the Iraq threat, EVEN, if Iraq didn't present an immediate threat to the U.S.
For months, most of those who voted for the Iraq War refused to disavow their votes, even as it was being reported that no WMDs were being found. WMDs were not the only or even chief reason for the invasion. Not until the public opinion began to swing against the war, did the brave Legislators begin to waver. First a few said, 'Bush lied', then more , and finally a chorus.
I look forward to the election. A little thing called the internet is going to sink the Democrats. We are going to play their speeches over and over, that refute their present claims.
