They really are the best CV joints in the world. It's not bragging if you can back it up and the fact of the matter is the Torvec design, which we all own as stockholders, is that much better.

Not only can it transmit power at a greater angle than anything made by anyone else in the world, it is stronger while doing it. Not the fault of the status quo, I'm sure they beefed up the old designs as much as they could. Probably tried every metal they could think of and sized up the parts as much as was practical, but they were still working with old designs. Elegant engineering is like aircraft design, it just looks right. Effortless, and as simple as possible. Like the Torsen, the Iso-Torque, the IVT, and the Torvec CV joint.

The status quo is like the world's biggest tanker, hard to turn around. Torvec is still unbelievable to many. They see it unfolding, they see major mileposts roll by and they still think, 'how can so few come up with things that work better than companies with lots more people and lots more money.' Maybe the answer is that lots more people means less risk up and down the line, slower approval on anything new. Other companies may have more money, may make more money, but what do they do with it? Kodak used to have a lot of money, but they could not kill the film cash cow and prepare for the digital future. Too many smart people unable to risk what they maybe should have. Big companies too often have big problems, some of which they refuse to address till it's forced on them. Better to be a healthy underdog. IMO

Considering the parameters for the truck that the CV joint has to meet, $500 is a fair price. Take your Accord and push it to a higher ground clearance than was ever possible before and then stack 3 or 4 more on top of it. After it holds up when being autocrossed over sand, it will seem like a heck of a deal.

BTW, for what it is worth I think the CEO update was just elaborating on previous statements about Chicago, etc. Awfully nice thing to do for us stockholders, but no final numbers yet. Considering the number of people who nip at this company, who would love to see the patents burned and the up, down, of CXO, I'm guessing that they are very aware of what can be said when. Cheers.EOM
