Thanks Linchuck, I've removed that printer support program, but I couldn't do it by unchecking the box.
Had to go into Add/Remove.

I also removed the modem program.

msmsgs.exe I want to keep because that's,(I think), my email-alert program which is messenger.

I think I've trimmed about all I can from startup, but now I have people telling me that I need to add a VGA card to make my video work right.
I'm getting a little burned out trying to set up Win XP, just to make it do the same stuff Win 98 was doing.
So far, I don't see any benefits, but a whole lot of drawbacks................ARRRGHHH
