Like the idea of a 'Mac', but...

they need to offer something other than a 20" monitor for $600.

They could use something to appeal to the 'average user' crowd. The people that could be drawn by an $899 'Mac' are probably not buying $600 monitors.

I'm not saying Apple needs to compete in the very low-end, but I think a product like this (or even the mini) is just out-of-place without a monitor in the same 'non-pro- range.

PS - I guess it's a good idea I didn't make a trip into the city last week. Bumping into a YearlyKos crowd could have made my head explode ;)

Nice to hear the crowd was using a lot of macs... I guess ;) ;)
