TEAMS: A few comments:

The most interesting thing is that the Gold Standard Conference won all 11 interconference match-ups - some by a small margin. The two conferences had only played among themselves until the week before last. The Gold Standard Conference won that week 6 games and lost 5. So, there was no logical reason to believe that one conference is any stronger than the other coming into this week.

Thus, assuming them to be equal, the odds of the Gold Standard Conference winning all 11 are 1 in 2048 (2 to the 11th power). The odds of the Silver Bars Conference would be the same. Since we wouldn't have known which conference would do it, then coming into this past week, the odds would have been 1 in 1024 that one of the conferences would sweep the other! That's pretty incredible odds.

---------------

This is the final regular season week. There will be 8 teams make the playoffs. The playoffs will last 3 weeks.

Five teams have locked in spots in the playoffs. They are Team 5 (9-2), Team 22 (8-3), Team 4 (8-3), Team 19 (7-4) and Team 16 (7-4).

A sixth playoff spot will be determined by the winner of Team 12 (6-5) versus Team 3 (6-5).

The last two playoff spots will be determined by the following teams: The two remaining 6-5 teams have the best chance - Team 18 and Team 17. The following eight 5-6 teams each have an outside chance, but they must win and hope for a lot of other help. Finally, the loser of the two 6-5 matchups above could still have chance.

---------------------

It should be pointed out that Team 22 (all four rookies) is tied for the second best record overall (8-3) and the best record in the Silver Bars Conference. I consider this to be pretty impressive. What's more, they play the team with the best record this week - Team 5 (9-2). If they win, they will tie for the best record - either a two way tie or a three way tie if Team 4 wins. I haven't calculated the tie breakers on those scenarios, but it is conceivable that they could be seeded #1 in the tournament.
