I hate mentioning this, but the same thing happened to SLJB during that fiasco. The transactions were placed for large share amounts and the MMs walked the price to accommodate the transaction whether it was a buy or sell.

I have also seen this with other stocks as well. For those that say they have a buy order in for 50MM at .0002, if it was really there, the MM would have already taken it there and the orders would have been filled, whether they have to sell short or not.

Volume is money to them and whatever they have to do to create that volume based on supply and demand they will do. AIMHO
