One good thing, is that they are to be held in escrow: hopefully to hold the deal. I know that some transactions require a good faith deposit. Corr may have pledged the collateral as a good faith deposit.

Could be held in escrow until revenue/profit comes in from the sales of all the Apples...

Then again.. who knows. It is a logical explaination but, I am not Corr, nor privy to the info...
