North Elder #1 Gas Well

This is a vertical gas well in the Barnett Shale, drilled to total depth (TD) of 6,698 feet on February 27, 2004

Location:

North central Parker County, Texas, approximately 28 miles northwest of downtown Fort Worth.

Status:

Currently producing.

North Elder #2H (AKA West Elder)

The North Elder #2H prospect will be a horizontal well in the exciting fairway of the blanket Barnett Shale gas play, northwest of Fort Worth. Major companies, such as Devon, Republic, XTO, Chief, and others, have begun to expand their focus to this same area, using horizontal drilling technology that has been extremely successful for the Barnett Shale in Parker and adjacent counties. Typically, horizontal well production is about three times that of vertical wells. In addition to the Barnett Shale, multiple shallower up-hole gas pay zones (Strawn and Bend Conglomerates) are present for possible additional reserves. The North Elder #2H prospect is offset to K-Sam's North Elder #1 vertical well, which has been drilled and is producing. This prospect is currently being surrounded by new horizontal drilling by major companies. Nearby, numerous successful vertical wells also continue to be drilled.

Location:

K-Sam Oil Company's North Elder #2H Prospect is located in north central Parker County, approximately seven miles northeast of Weatherford, Texas

Status:

Drilled to total depth (TD) of 9,126 feet on March 28, 2005. Successful three-stage frac performed on May 23rd, 24th, and 25th. Currently flowing back frac load and selling gas.
