Marginnayan,
I just read the FDIC deposit rules and the coverage is for $100K/depositor period. If a depositor has 3 accounts with $100K in each, he/she is still covered for the first $100K only!!!! I'll bet most people do not know this. I did not, and I feel pretty stupid having more than 1 or 2 accts at the same institution. I fully welcome anyone with better info to tell me this is incorrect.
