Do we have any teachers here that could enlighten me as to how stocks get out of the pennies and up to the $$$? I own shares in one stock, UWKI that jumped from around a dollar to almost $5.00, but that was after a 1:4 R/S. It still has to double for me to break even.

It seems to me that a lot of the prices are based on manipulation by MM's and not related to the financials or any positive outlook for the companies.

One thing I am also noticing is that when good news does come, the price of the stock falls. It may just be that my stock picks are hexed.
