Intel says it used a loyalty discount plan from 2003 through 2006 that rewarded higher levels of product use by an OEM. The European commission, advocating on behalf of its German company AMD, concerns AMD's complaints about the discontinued plan.

Today, Intel is using a different discount plan. Today, AMD is *losing* $600 Million a quarter.

Perhaps AMD should request that Intel return to its discontinued discount plan where AMD was earning money and gaining market share.
