Cable hot-box people getting sued by Comcast
I got a call from a buddy of mine from NJ the other night about an advocate working for Comcast sent him a letter stating that if he did not respond and send them $4,000 within 10 days they will come after him. He called the contact on the letter and asked what it was all about. They said they went after the company that was making the hot-boxes and bankrupt them and seized their computers and he was on file with his AMEX back in 1991. My buddy said he bought one but sold it soon after but the guy didn't want to hear it. He went to his lawyer and was told not to talk to them and maybe he can get out of it for $1,000
Soon after the cable company showed up and was checking all the lines in his 18 unit apartment building and found one apt that was hooked up illegal but not his.
So if you got illegal cable look out baby they are coming for you big time!
And I thought that $60 a month I pay for cable is a rip off now Im glad I always paid for my service! sheesh
