Thanks for that and to all...
I do wish you and all the best.
Look, I can't be honest completely.
I'm afraid someone will figure out who I am
and that may not be good.
But, let me tell you something.
I'm am a lonely old man.
I'm in my 80's.
My wife died a few years back.
What a hit.
... friends I made in my prime are dead,
I was bigtime around in the 50's,
when stocks were last priced right.
Even so, what the hell do I know?
I'm a dino.
I'm a lonely old man posting on a board at night.
I don't sleep much so what the hell.
Yup, I made some bucks.
I own three houses in CA (beach, mountain, desert) and my family
visits often around the holidays or during crises or just for fun.
I'm so old I'm a great grandfather.
I've been shorting since summer and I've lost but its been nothing,
this is just a hobby for an old man.
All my money is stocked in real estate, bonds, cash and gold,
and I live on a pension.
I'm outmoded.
Ignore me.
I think I'll post on a political board and stop here.
In my day, I was relevant, no longer.
When you are old, nobody listens to you except on a board.
Best to you and goodbye all.

... no one gets the market right all the time...
Long term I believe that with the S&P500 p/e at 30,
oil prices historically high, jobs permanently moving offshore, etc.
that a correction to the average is inevitable.
Short term, a bubble is a bubble...
You may well be right on the longer term,
shorter term the market seems bullet proof...

I'd like to add my voice to the clamor here,
the fact that you are still "around" indicates to me
that we have a lot to learn from your vast experience.
Stick around....
By the way, I joined you (again) in the bear camp a week a go,
and the market is still going up (g), it may even go further,
but I think it is close to a point where the music stops
(at least for a little while).
Since I don't short, I simply went heavy on cash
(close to 60%, not "grizzly bearish" yet, but close...)

You're relevant so stop thinking that way.
Age has nothing to do with anything.
I only hope I'm as sharp as you when I reach my 80's.
Please continue posting.
Consider this board part of your family...
