The issue date (which for this patent according to the uspto website is 7/31/2007) is defined in the uspto glossary as follows:

1. issue date is the date that a patent application becomes a US patent.

2. The issue date is the date that patent rights can be exercised. U.S. patents are always issued on Tuesdays.

which would indicate the patent has been approved and will be issued 7/31/07, which correlates with the press releases today.

This patent is for the Potable Water Delivery System.

The other patent which IS IN THE NEAR FUTURE is for the

Tetrasilver Tetraoxide as Disinfective Agent for Cryptosporidium, which has not yet been approved. Therefore 1 of 2 patents HAS been approved.
