OT: question--a stock falls below $5

is it automatically not marginable anymore and, is there an automatic margin call for those holding it on margin?

Seems like a downward spiral might be at hand when a heavily traded stock falls below $5.

Any thoughts?

When it comes to P/Es, 7 is the new 14...
