The smaller ask went down to .44, now .43, while the stronger bid at .40 moved to .41.

Is this the time to BUY?

I'm not pumping, but seriously considering taking a position here...

Maybe MM's are trying to keep it down before the release of the 10K next week? Or are some profit takers merely over anxious to take some off the table, while most hopeful speculators are spent out and/or holding the bag presently?
