Actually, after doing a quick search on this idea it has been around since as early as the 1950's so patents written recently on the idea surrounding text-to-speech are going to be deemed worthless.

In all fairness, I was basically just shooting off at the mouth when I wrote this above statement, but in all fairness...if you do a quick internet search on text-to-speech and speech-to-text technologies and patents, etc. there is a sea of patents and information on this technology. How is Calypso Wireless going to be able to benefit from these patents when everyone else and their mothers have other patents that do very similar things? Who's to say that Calypso Wireless will be entitled to anything especially since they did not actually develop the technology. In order to license this technology they are going to have to show that their patents override the other hundreds of patents out there. This would take LOTS of time and LOTS of money...and all anyone has to do to trump the patent is to improve upon the method...this has been done already. Case closed for me. These patents are worthless just like ASNAP IMO.
