I have a high level of conviction that AMD already has couple of packaged and properly marked FX53 (940) ready to send out to reviewers just in case of an EE-surprize. OTOH I have the same high level of conviction Intel is aware of that as well. In essence, i neither see EE 3400 nor FX-53 anytime soon.

Good points. I think it would make sense for Intel to wait with P4EE paper launch for now, until AMD plans to introduce FX53. The reason is this: If Intel paper launches in February, it will get beaten by FX53 S940, and then again when FX53 on S939 is launched, even more badly. If Intel waits until AMD S939 launch, P4EE 3.4 will be beaten only once.

From the PR point of view, would you rather suffer 1 embarassment or 2?
