virginian: I have little idea except sometimes bottomfeeders get excited when they see some heavy buying at the Ask. Bottomfeeders are very much momentum players, and if it looks like something might be happening, they tend to jump in with both feet.

It could be some of the buying was by people who believe RA will beat the SEC recievership and contempt motions and get a stay of the judgement. If he does, it should give upward movement some more drive.

Need I tell you what I think his chances of getting a favorable stay? I don't think he'll overcome the contempt motion, either, but I could be wrong on that one (but not wrong on the stay).
