A COMPANY THOMAS EDISON WOULD LOVE

Since topping $4 in December, ITKG shares have been on a downtrend that took it as low as $1.25 a few weeks ago. Then, without any news or apparent catalysts, the stock turned on a dime and is now trading above $2.

We've often referred to Integral as being a genuinely long-term play -- think of it as an advanced incubator for breakthrough materials. There's no question that it's got an exciting technology with excellent market prospects.

And we've gotta give them points for being focused. Like Thomas Edison, these guys stick to a problem until it's solved. As he said: "Genius [inventing] was 1% inspiration and 99% perspiration."

But only patient shareholders need apply here. Although progress is steady, it's certainly not the sort that's busting down the door of new customers. And even when they might have things to review and talk about, management isn't eager to issue press releases or do interviews.

Still, in a recent issue of Modern Plastics Worldwide, the reporter noted that capacity for its conductive polymer composite, ElectriPlast, is being increased, with one pelletizing line already in use and a second on order at its manufacturing partner Jasper Rubber Products.

The article also mentioned Integral's "new focus" on wire and cable products, with an ElectriPlast-based car-battery cable. "Potentially replacing heavier rubber-jacketed copper cables, the ElectriPlast cable, which suspends copper particles in a polymer matrix, is 80% lighter than its copper counterpart and has already completed life-cycle testing for one potential customer, enduring varying amperage loads and 24/7 operation for three months in an environmental chamber. The cables are non-corrosive, including their lugs, and maintain the conductive properties of copper."

Integral, using Jasper as its compounder, has created more than 15,000 recipes. As impressive as this is, it will only take a handful of successful ones to establish Integral as a player in this new market for their materials.

Separately, Integral was recently awarded four new patents. Interestingly, two involved a spark plug manufactured from the company's ElectriPlast. A third covers "low-cost antenna devices."

Based on these developments and the improved activity in ITKG shares, we expect to hear news from the company soon. In any case, be patient and stick with this stock and stay tuned for more details in the near future.
