Wireless giant Motorola (MOT) perked up 4% in early dealings on expectations that it will snag more than $1 billion in long-term equipment deals out of the $2 billion set to be awarded Tuesday by Chinese carriers. Another beneficiary, Lucent Technologies (LU) jumped 9% in premarket action.
