Anandtech redeemed - 3400+ Part2 review

Their first review of the 3400+ was plain terrible, consisting only of video card limited benchmarks, and for both A64 and A64 FX, they used platforms that were the worst performers they have tested so far, that even had technical issues (!)(as by their earlier roundups), the FX platform they used in the first review was actually a full speed grade equivalent slower than newer models! This really looked like manipulation to me, and was completely pointless for a CPU roundup where the true potential of the CPU is supposed to be demonstrated.

but now:

The 3400+ was announced on January 6th - just in time for CES. On launch day, Anand published a detailed analysis of the 3400+. Since that article, readers have been asking if AnandTech could do a follow-up, benchmarking the Athlon64 series using our standard motherboard benchmarks on the top motherboards for the Athlon64, Athlon64FX, and Pentium 4. That is the purpose of this Part 2 follow-up, which tests the top CPU's from Intel and AMD on the top-performing motherboards that we have tested for each platform.

In other words, Anand´s review sucked big time, they had to redo it properly after several complaints (me included), and, suprise, A64/FX top all the benchmarks (also those they lost before, due to the limitations cited), apart from the DIVX (time for the 64bit port!).

Thanks Anandtech! I doubt THG would ever do that...
