Because - as I was told over a BBQ this past Sunday by a guy in the oil and gas business for several decades - including having drilled $1 billion (yes, that's a B)worth of wells in Texas in the 1990s with the company he was with, a vertical well can cost $1.5 million to drill and a horizontal can cost $5 million to drill.

So that seems to be why - unless the three wells that are speculated on here are volcanic gushers - Bitters wants more cash. And even if they are gushers, I'd guess he wants more cash to take this to the next level.

Still, I've not made up my mind on how I'll vote. I don't like RSs. I'm hoping Bitters has tremendously pleasant surprises for us. But as of now....I'm still in the severely irritated stage with management.
