Good morning, Star.........I had a friend who was in China during the height of the SARS epidemic. At the time you will recall China not being very forthcoming about the number of sick folks or any other info for that matter. Eventually, both the CDC and WHO sent an entourage of people to investigate and the Chinese health minister then employed ambulances to drive around and hide the sickest patients from all the hospitals, effectively keeping them from being seen by anyone from the investigatory teams.
He was summarily executed for that little act of genius as well, but it never made the paper here. Sometime, I'll tell you a great story about al Queada sending a team to China to kidnap an Australian couple adopting a Chinese baby. Suffice it to say, there are certain upsides to Communism:)
