The government will not fix the problem by this despciable show of cruelty and utter ignorance of human life. By executing a civilian official whose crime was 90% system-driven 10% personal fault, who had no powerful party or military connections, who was executed as fast as he was tried when more egregious wrongdoings went unpunished, amid the backdrop of US-China trade dispute, the government found a convenient scapegoat and showed its true color of putting trade and commerce interest above individual human rights.
