Am I being paranoid?

A 'what if' scenario keeps popping into my mind, but there is little or no rational thought behind it. Suppose the events (or non-events) of the last month or so are all part of a well orchestrated power play.

Alternative 1: The RS goes through and CB's ownership goes up from 3% to 35%--effectively a $7M bonus plus control of the company.

Alternative 2: The RS does not go through. CB continues to drill and caps the wells as they hit oil or gas. Eventually, with inadequate revenues, the company declares bankruptcy (after all, CB 'warned' us what would happen without the RS) and, to pay off debts sells off the leases to, perhaps, a shadow company owned by CB or a relative/friend. CB moves to the new company for 1/3+ ownership. I assume they might be a whole lot slicker than this, but is it possible.

Alternative 2 could explain 2 years of drilling without evidence of revenues.

Like I said--could be irrational paranoia (and, truth be told, I am already schizophrenic--and so am I)
