Steve Schneider, CEO for electric car pioneer ZAP, demonstrates the new Recharge-It-All batteries by plugging into an iPhone. SANTA ROSA, CA--(Marketwire - July 9, 2007) - Discovery Channel Stores are now carrying the "AA Powerpack Universal Recharge-It-All" from ZAP (OTCBB: ZAAP). Also, new customer feedback and product testing confirms that all Recharge-It-All units are iPhone compatible.

A pioneer in alternative energy and transportation, ZAP last week announced it has received orders for over 50,000 units of its Recharge-It-All line of rechargeable lithium battery storage devices for powering and recharging mobile electronics like cell phones and digital cameras, and is now available through Discovery Channel Stores and through its website at http://www.DiscoveryChannelStore.com. ZAP also expects the Recharge-It-All to be included in the fall catalog for Discovery Channel Stores.

ZAP's power pack with its special charging port is also iPhone compatible. ZAP CEO Steve Schneider said he rushed out and bought an iPhone when he heard it worked with ZAP's Recharge-It-All and iZAP battery systems.

"The iPhone is the best phone I've ever had, but it also runs out of power faster than any phone I've ever had," said Schneider. "But it doesn't really matter to me because I always carry an iZAP with me. Whenever I travel, it works with my laptop, camera, cell phone and now my iPhone."

ZAP's Recharge-It-All line is a unique rechargeable battery system that can provide a portable power source for almost any kind of mobile electronic device, from cell phones, to digital cameras, to laptops. More than just a battery, Recharge-It-All can automatically sense and deliver the appropriate voltage for a range of power settings.

ZAP says that the iZAP designed for the iPod shuffle can extend listening time up to 60 hours. ZAP Recharge-It-All and iZAP battery technologies are helping to solve the growing battery dilemma for mobile electronics, offering a rechargeable source of power out in the field or extending the battery life of your favorite electronic device. The technology also reduces the need for disposable batteries, which can be bulky, expensive and harmful to the environment. The lithium-ion battery system can be recharged up to 1000 times and has up to four times the power of conventional batteries.

A pioneer in electric vehicles, ZAP began marketing Recharge-It-All and iZAP as an offshoot of its battery research to extend the range of electric cars and other vehicles. ZAP expects to incorporate new battery technology into its Zapino electric scooter and XEBRA electric city car in the near future.
