From the June 8 Presidents letter;" Our technical goal over the last few months has been to release version 1.6 on a line card that will work in a telephone network. The line card that is pictured here carries the version 1.6 software and is for sale. We have received one purchase order for it, and during our current quarter we expect to receive more orders. "

The info I have heard is that the ability of telcos to test our chip is greatly enhanced by the availability of this line card. I still don't understand the version 1.5 v 1.6. I believe eSilicon and TSMC worked on mass producing the 1.5 chip. It also states that the line card is version 1.6. So, I believe the two work together.
