New to the board, but not new to AMEP. Been in for just under two years. Hold 212500 shares at an average of just over 5 cents. I decided to register because I cannot be silent about what I think will happen to my investment should the R/S pass.
I've been hit twice by reverse splits. In both cases it was the same: shareholders were initially up in arms, then came "trusted longs" who, after "much consideration," produced rationalizations like yours, e.g., "Many companies have AS much larger than the OS," "CB says he will not convert and I believe him," and so on. One of the companies just hit its pre-split level three years after tanking; the other is now at 60% of it's pre-split level, four years after tanking.
This is an unconscionable power grab at the expense of shareholders. If carried out, it will ruin a lot of decent people and line the pockets of a select few.
