Typically, anything North of the Mason-Dixon line is a Yankee. The further south you go, the definition changes slightly. For instance, our southern friends from AL, or LA consider anything North of the TN border to be Yankees, and anything North of TN to be DAM* Yankees. I do not believe they will bite on "Well, I'm from Southern Canadia, so I'm not a Yankee; I'm a Southerner EY"
