I hear a lot of folks saying we'll be o.k. either way. This is very misleading and untrue. While I will not question the motives of those making such statements, I will say that with over 400M A/S after the split availible for selling, they WILL sell. I challenge anyone to name 5 companies in the past year that have issused a R/S while keeping the A/S count constant, not splitting the preferred shares and are UP year to date. You cannot. I've heard the argument that other companies are not like AMEP, we have no dept, were in the shale, we have two rigs, leases on 7000 acres, sucessful wells that are producing. THEN SELL THE FREKIN STUFF. There is absolutely no reason to have the A/S count remain constant unless your plan is to sell them. Hope, my fellow investors will not do it. You really need to vote No. If you do not your money will be gone in a matter if months. This is not fearmongering, this many examples in history of Reverse spltting a penny stock. Let AMEP take the slow road and do what they are supposed to do which is SELL THE FREKIN OIL AND GAS.
